After obtaining the best score in the bidding process launched by the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB), HibLab implements its laboratory furniture solution in the new research laboratory spaces of the technology park.

The Barcelona Science Park, in less than a year, has conditioned a total area of 983 m2 distributed in 19 laboratories.

Above all, has established itself as one of the leading ecosystems in Europe in the field of life sciences and health, and a pole of attraction for start-ups, spin-offs and SMEs, as well as large national and international companies.

HibLab has provided a highly technological laboratory furniture system with the special feature of being highly reconfigurable and adaptable to the needs of the companies located in the park’s ecosystem.

These spaces have been quickly occupied by different types of companies, such as DeepUll, Bioliquid, NewBorn Solutions and Moirai Biodesign, which focus their activity on the development of medical products. Space has also been extended for a research centre of excellence and even companies offering services for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.

Spatial flexibility is conceived from three parameters: laboratory furniture, facilities (engineering) and space (architecture). HibLab has provided its wide range of service system solutions in the laboratory furniture section, including height adjustable column systems (Aero Tube) combined with traditional interchangeable service panel systems (Combo) in wall areas.

The adoption of simple and modulated geometries allows for a variety of layouts and uses, even making it possible to merge spaces. The laboratory furniture, the system of installations and the spaces must be able to take on changes and evolution in a simple way and without altering the basic structure.
