New biotechnological laboratory at the Las Palmerillas Experimental Station (Cajamar Foundation)

26 Jun, 2025

From HibLab Solutions, in collaboration with DICSA, we are pleased to announce the completion of the new Biotechnological Laboratory at the Las Palmerillas Experimental Station, located in El Ejido (Almeria) and belonging to the Cajamar Foundation. A project of great strategic value aimed at promoting research applied to agricultural innovation and sustainability.

A space designed to advance science and sustainability

The new laboratory, with a surface area of 300 m², has been carefully distributed in different experimental areas specialized in Microbiology, Microalgae and a central work area that will facilitate the development of new lines of research.

In addition to its scientific work, the space will also provide general soil and water analysis services to both the Las Palmerillas headquarters and the Paiporta station.

This project has had the direct involvement of DICSA and has been coordinated by María Dolores Segura and Miguel Ángel Domene, heads of the laboratory, together with Manuel Ángel García Pedrajas, Cajamar’s infrastructure coordinator, who have been a support in defining the functional and technical needs of the space.

Intelligent design for tomorrow’s research

At HibLab Solutions by Wesemann Group, we have worked closely with the technical teams to develop a comprehensive, modular solution adapted to the real needs of the research staff.

The distribution of space, the choice of materials and the equipment of laboratory furniture have been designed to favor both experimental work and interdisciplinary collaboration, offering a highly functional and safe environment.

This new laboratory space is part of Fundación Cajamar’s innovation strategy, and is an example of how investment in scientific infrastructure directly boosts the competitiveness of the agri-food sector and the transition to more sustainable models.
