The pharmaceutical company Laboratorios Rubió was founded in 1968 of the marketing of medicines and health products at that time. Today, it has become a benchmark company and a pioneer in the introduction of important drugs and medical treatments in Spain.

Laboratorios Rubió has trusted HibLab to carry out the comprehensive refurbishment project of its production centre, which has a surface area of more than 900 square metres, where the general state-of-the-art, high-tech research laboratory is located.

In addition to this intervention, other floors of the building have been adapted for meeting rooms, offices, offices, leisure and reception areas.

The redesign of the new laboratory space facilities offers flexibility and versatility to users’ collaborative workflow.

A new optimized space is distributed in different rooms:

• Instrumental Analysis
• Stove Room
• Fume Cabinet Area
• Scale Room
• Cleaning and storage area for samples and other materials
• Technical and Administrative areas

A comprehensive reform of interior architecture has started from master distribution axes for laboratories. HibLab has developed industrialised solutions, such as substructures and walkable technical areas, accompanied by technical divisions of spaces that provide accessibility, functionality and safety.

In addition, HibLab has integrated its curved laboratory furniture merging with these solutions, which favours and brings a visual softness to an open communication space. This remodelling has radically changed the appearance of the laboratory itself, turning it into a flexible space, adaptable to future modifications with a differential corporate value.

The comprehensive refurbishment project has been completed with the design and development of a corporate signage, thus adding a key improvement in functionality and aesthetics that captures the idea, values and personality of the pharmaceutical brand Laboratorios Rubió.
